Adams and Reese is pleased to announce that Matthew A. Copeland has joined the Houston office as an associate in the Litigation practice group in the firm’s Houston office. Copeland’s practice focuses on representing large public companies, private businesses, and individuals in various commercial disputes and tort litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, Copeland worked at a regional law firm focusing on commercial litigation, personal injury defense, and insurance coverage disputes. Copeland has also spent time representing owners, property managers, and community associations in various real estate matters.

Copeland’s experience includes prosecuting and defending claims for breach of contract, fraud, and violations of the Deceptive Trade Practices Act. Copeland also has extensive experience defending business against personal injury and wrongful death claims.

Copeland is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association and the Silver Spurs Alumni Association.

Copeland earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Houston in 2012. He received his Bachelor of Journalism from The University of Texas at Austin in 2009.
