The law firm of Adams and Reese LLP received the 2014 “Economic Development Partner of the Year” award by the St. Tammany Economic Development Foundation as the Firm was honored at the STEDF luncheon on March 2 at the Northshore Harbor Center in Slidell.

For more than 30 years, Adams and Reese has partnered with the St. Tammany Economic Development Foundation, the St. Tammany Parish Development District, and the Parish government to assist in economic development opportunities by structuring creative methods to incentivize companies to locate in St. Tammany Parish. The incentives are typically in the form of low interest cost revenue bond financings, the use of tax increment finance and/or temporary property tax abatement or reduction through payment in lieu of tax (“PILOT”) arrangements. Adams and Reese also generally assists in the development of Public Private Partnerships to achieve intended economic development results.
The St. Tammany Economic Development Foundation leads economic development in St. Tammany Parish, attracting new businesses and employment opportunities to the area. The foundation works to seek to improve parish residents’ quality of life by strengthening and supporting the business climate.
