The National Bar Association recognizes Suntrease Williams-Maynard as a 2020 recipient of its “40 Under 40: Nation’s Best Advocates” award. The awards recognize the nation’s top 40 lawyers under the age of 40 who exemplify a broad range of high achievement in the legal field, including in advocacy, innovation, vision, leadership and overall legal and community involvement.

“As one of the oldest and strongest distinguished bar associations in the world, this prestigious award given annually recognizes the nation’s most brilliant, courageous and determined advocates under the age of 40 who fight for equal justice under law and advance the causes of justice, equality, professionalism and community service,” says Dean Alfreda Robinson, National Bar Association President. “ We look forward to witnessing the extraordinary work of these amazing leaders who will continue the NBA’s legacy of speaking truth to power and unifying disenfranchised communities to improve access to justice. These young leaders will undoubtedly continue to make the NBA proud.”

The recipients will be honored at the National Bar Association’s renowned 40 Under 40 Virtual Awards Gala on Saturday, July 25, 2020, during the NBA’s 95th Annual Convention.
