Maddux has practiced for more than 30 years with diverse litigation experience from health care law to products liability, professional liability and education law. His long-term care practice focuses on the defense of elder care, extended care and nursing home facilities and assisted living facilities. He has been involved in professional liability litigation, encompassing legal issues such as alternative dispute resolution (ADR) agreements, business litigation, and hospital liability. Maddux is a member of the Litigation Section of the American Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute and the Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association. In the health care field, he is a member of the American Association and Tennessee Association of Homes and Services for the Aging.

Gary serves as Leader of the firm’s Health Care Practice Team after years of leadership in the private health care and insurance industries. He is the former Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of a national health and wellness company providing population health management services to mid to large-size employers and health insurance companies throughout the United States. As COO, Tim was responsible for the overall management and financial status of the company.

McKinney was admitted to practice law in 1995 in Arkansas where he practiced with some of that state’s best civil litigators. In 2001, he joined the Adams and Reese New Orleans office, where his litigation practice concentrates on the defense of cases involving professional liability, product liability, toxic exposure, and other general and commercial litigation. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He also has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America (by BL Rankings, LLC) and Louisiana Super Lawyers (by Thomson Reuters). He heads Adams and Reese's pharmaceutical and medical device practice team, is a member of Ochsner Clinic Foundation’s Institutional Review Board, and has served as a hearing committee member for the Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board. He currently serves as an in-house counsel to the firm and was a member of the firm's Ethics Committee.
