Jordan Gleason’s years of experience advocating for clients’ interests at all levels of government helps him serve as an effective and thoughtful government relations professional. Jordan brings a wealth of political and industry knowledge, as well as in-depth public relations and communication skills, to each client he serves.
Thanks to his experience in Baton Rouge and in Washington, D.C., Jordan has built relationships with local, state and federal lawmakers and is familiar with the workings of regulatory bodies, especially in Louisiana and involving the oil and gas industry. Jordan keeps clients in touch with what’s happening in Baton Rouge, advising on legislation and helping them navigate the political landscape.
Jordan’s experience includes serving as a liaison for clients with various governmental bodies. He is a credible and confident communicator whose experience helps clients establish consistent and persuasive messaging by developing talking points, statements and briefs. Jordan also seeks opportunities to collaborate with those who have similar interests to those of his clients, then strategizes and coordinates efforts to pass, kill or amend legislation.
As the previous Government Affairs and Communications Director for the Louisiana Oil and Gas Association (LOGA), Jordan has facilitated communication between industry associations to unite on issues important to their respective members. In this role, he advocated for LOGA’s 1,100 members to ensure their voices were heard in the Louisiana Legislature. He also worked on political fundraisers, industry events and media outreach relating to LOGA’s membership and to further a better understanding of the oil and gas industry in the state.
Prior to his work with LOGA, Jordan served as Press Secretary and Legislative Assistant for former Congressman Charles Boustany in Washington, D.C. He was the Congressman’s official spokesperson for the office, liaising with the media and public outlets and advising the Congressman on local political issues including coastal restoration, defense and transportation.
Jordan began his political career as Press Assistant in Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal’s administration, eventually becoming the Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs. As the liaison between the Governor and the Louisiana Legislature, Jordan worked to gather information and recommended strategies, tactics and positions on proposed legislation. He also collaborated with policy staff and legislators to ensure complex policy information was delivered clearly and concisely.
