Effectively solving a client’s problems means understanding how a short-term problem fits into long-term goals. Whether it’s litigation, an investigation, or something more unexpected, I create solutions tailored to my client’s immediate needs and their big-picture business goals.

Kyle practices primarily in financial services, where he represents sophisticated institutions in both the commercial and consumer context in litigation matters and provides regulatory and operational advice to help clients meet the ever-evolving demands of state and federal regulators. Clients rely on him for advice in process compliance, handling deceased customer accounts, and responding to governmental investigations.

Outside of the financial services sphere, Kyle is an experienced litigator. He’s handled high-stakes cases on both sides of the docket for everyone from Fortune 50 companies to individuals. Kyle is as comfortable litigating antitrust claims and multi-million-dollar insurance disputes as mass torts and product liability suits. He is also well-versed in appellate practice, having handled appeals and extraordinary writ petitions since he began practicing.

An active member of the Texas legal community, Kyle serves on multiple Houston Bar Association committees and belongs to the Southwest Association of Bank Counsel and the Texas Bar College. He’s also represented clients pro bono in eviction proceedings and before the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.

Kyle graduated magna cum laude from Baylor University School of Law. He was a technical editor for the Baylor Law Review, helped develop a course for the law school’s then-new LL.M. program, and tied for the second-highest score on the July 2018 Texas Bar Exam. He’s also a member of Phi Beta Kappa (even though he’s still not sure how to do the handshake).
