Austin Stewart joined Adams and Reese in 2015 and serves as Special Counsel in the firm’s Jackson office. Practicing law since 2007, Austin has experience in a diversity of litigation matters, including insurance, personal injury, mass tort, landlord/tenant law, and premises liability. In addition, Austin has experience advising business clients on a variety of issues including corporate structure, intellectual property, and transactions. Austin presently concentrates a majority of his practice on complex litigation, including products liability defense, mass tort litigation, and commercial litigation.

Austin’s representative experience and legal accolades also include:

  • Recognized by Mid-South Super Lawyers® Rising Stars in Civil Litigation Defense.
  • Admitted to practice in the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and in the district courts in Mississippi.

In the community, Austin is actively involved in the programs of the Mississippi Bar and serves on the Young Professional Steering Committee of the Madison County Business League & Foundation. In 2015, Austin served as the Chairman of the High School Mock Trial Committee, sponsored by the Young Lawyers Division of the Mississippi Bar, and in years prior, Austin served as an attorney coach for Sacred Heart High School Mock Trial Team.

Austin received his J.D. from the University of Mississippi, in 2007, and he earned his B.S., cum laude, from Mississippi College, in 2004.

Among the people Austin admires most are his parents who taught him the virtues of hard work and commitment to goals, even in the face of adversity.

In his spare time, Austin enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Katie, and their two children. He also enjoys golf, tennis, and hunting, as well as being actively involved in Pear Orchard Presbyterian Church.
