Matthew R. Jackson joined Adams and Reese in 2011 as an Associate in the firm's Mobile office. He is a member of the Litigation Practice Group.

During law school, Matt worked as a summer associate at Adams and Reese and other distinguished law firms in Alabama. More recently, Matt worked as an associate at a law firm in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He is licensed to practice law in both Tennessee and Alabama.

Matt earned his J.D., cum laude, from Mississippi College School of Law in 2010, where he was a member of the Moot Court’s Executive Committee. Matt also competed and excelled in regional and national trial, appellate, arbitration and mediation competitions.

His other significant law school achievements include:

  • Being selected as a member of the Order of Barristers, a national honorary organization that recognizes law students for outstanding trial advocacy skills.
  • Receiving an American Jurisprudence award in Appellate Advocacy and a Best Brief award in the Copeland, Cook, Taylor & Bush Moot Court Competition.
  • Being named to the Dean’s List.

In 2006, Matt received his Bachelor of Arts from Huntingdon College, where he was a four-year starter on the baseball team. Matt finished first-team all conference for three seasons, and was team captain during his senior year.

In his spare time, Matt likes to travel, play golf and spend time with his wife and friends.
