Rocklan “Rocky” William King III

Rocklan “Rocky” King joined Adams and Reese in 2013 as an Associate and a member of the Litigation Practice Group in the firm’s Nashville office.

 

Practicing law since 2007, Rocky has represented clients in regulatory matters and complex litigations involving transportation issues, labor and employment disputes, health care claims, and product liability litigations. In his litigation practice, he has represented motor carriers in personal injury actions, transportation contract disputes, and labor and employment litigations. He has represented health care providers in disputes with administrative agencies and in health care liability matters.

In his regulatory practice, Rocky assists clients with ever-changing federal and state laws in areas of transportation and logistics, health care matters and labor and employment counseling. He often counsels clients regarding Motor Carrier registration, prepares transportation and logistics contracts, and provides guidance on compliance with both anti-discrimination laws and health care regulations.

 

His representative cases include:

 

  • Obtained a favorable jury verdict for a client in a case which included claims for property damage, loss of business income and insurer bad faith claim.
  • Representation of multi-state train system in numerous personal injury claims arising from the collision of two trains.
  • Representation of a health care company who provided medical services to correctional facilities throughout Virginia.
  • Advising and counseling clients involved in insurance coverage disputes regarding property coverage, business interruption, general liability, directors and officers’ liability, employment practices, toxic tort, and excess insurance issues.

 
Rocky was a College Scholar at the University of Tennessee and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Political and Legal Philosophy. He earned his law degree from the George Mason University School of Law where he served as president of the Moot Court Board and a member of the Student Bar Association.

 

In his spare time, Rocky enjoys playing golf and spending time on his family’s farm in East Tennessee.
