Dear clients and friends,

Like you, we are monitoring the developments surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak. Everyone at Adams and Reese is committed to providing our clients with uninterrupted, high-quality client service in the safest environment possible. From the outset, we have been tracking the CDC guidelines and staying current with the frequently changing federal, state and local directives. We have also been addressing any particular challenges faced by any member of the firm on a case-by-case basis. The federal government issued new guidelines, which include the recommendation to work from home whenever possible. Beginning today, March 18, we encourage all personnel who can perform their work from home to do so. All offices will remain open for normal business hours during this time. Please know our IT infrastructure enables all of our lawyers and personnel to have full access to services required to conduct their specific operations as usual, within a secure environment. We are fully equipped to serve our clients as seamlessly as possible without any disruption.

We also recognize and appreciate the many disruptions and challenges you are facing. To assist you with any issues arising from COVID-19, Adams and Reese has launched a Client Task Force with the involvement of lawyers and government relations professionals across all of our practice teams. On Tuesday, that team held their first webinar, COVID-19 and Business Continuity – Keeping Your Operations Up and Running in a Crisis, and it is available on-demand by clicking the link. Tomorrow afternoon we will host our second webinar, COVID-19: Employment Law Changes and Challenges. You can register for that webinar by clicking the link. We will continue to host webinars each Tuesday and Thursday for the remainder of the month on many timely topics. Please be on the lookout for those invitations.

Additionally, our COVID-19 Client Outreach Task Force has produced more than 15 client alerts on how this virus is affecting our businesses and everyday life. These alerts will provide you some guidance on this ever-changing situation. You can also access all of this content by visiting the Crisis Response and Preparedness page on the firm’s website. We will continue to closely monitor the situation, and keep you updated on any changes to our procedures. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to assist you as you navigate your own challenges. We are eager to work with you throughout this process and stand ready to help.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve you. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me or anyone else at Adams and Reese for help with any issue you may face.

Sincerely,

Gif Thornton
