Adams and Reese attorney Laurie Young, who serves as a board member for the Junior Achievement of Greater New Orleans, was featured in the March 2014 issue of St. Charles Avenue magazine, which covered JA's 10th City Stars Soiree, honoring the 2013 Rising Stars in the New Orleans area with a gala on November 8th at the JaBiz Town on the campus of Delgado Community College.
Since the event's inception, the City Stars Soiree gala has recognized nearly 40 honorees under the age of 40 who personify resourcefulness, drive and passion for their ideas, products and their community. Festivities included entertainment by Glen David Andrews and auction and raffles of over 100 items.
At Adams and Reese, Young is a Partner in the Litigation Group focusing her practice on the litigation of maritime and energy, labor and employment, and general litigation matters. Young was selected a 2013 Loyola Alumni “Women in Law” Honoree, which recognized female alumnae who have demonstrated professional achievement in the practice of law as well as a strong involvement in the community. She was also named among the 2012 "Women of the Year" by New Orleans CityBusiness.
