Continuing its annual tradition of supplying dinner for the elderly and needy families of St. Joseph Rebuild Center in New Orleans, Adams and Reese delivered 40 meals full of cooked food, canned goods and supplies, on Thursday, April 17th, just in time for their Easter Dinner.
Through the law firm's HUGS (Hope, Understanding, Giving and Support) program, Adams and Reese annually works with Sister Vera Butler and St. Joseph Church and donates Easter food baskets to New Orleans residents who receive help from St. Joseph Church and Rebuild Center off Tulane Avenue.
The St. Joseph Rebuild Center is a coalition of Catholic and other faith-based organizations serving the Canal Street corridor through supplied services such as groceries, showers, laundry, financial help, legal and medical services and financial literacy.
Adams and Reese attorneys Kyle Potts and David Coons coordinated this year’s Easter Basket program for the firm. Southern Hospitality prepared the food and helped Adams and Reese deliver the food to the families on Thursday morning.
At Adams and Reese, the employee volunteer program, also known as HUGS (Hope, Understanding, Giving, and Support), was founded in 1988 and has since devoted financial resources and thousands of volunteer hours to offer assistance to those in need. Every year throughout all of Adams and Reese’s offices in its regional footprint, employees donate time and money to more than 100 community organizations in need.
