The Adams and Reese Tampa office was honored for its pro bono efforts with Are You Safe, Inc., as the organization presented the Community Partner of the Year Award at the Ninth Annual Purple Party on Thursday, Oct. 19, at The Tampa Club.

Are You Safe provides legal and social services to victims of domestic violence and promotes awareness and education within the community, legal community and law enforcement agencies. For more than five years, the Tampa office of Adams and Reese has worked closely with Are You Safe, Inc., to support its initiative.

Numerous firm attorneys have volunteered their time and effort to take on cases on a pro bono basis to assist victims in securing domestic violence injunctions and representing them through the legal process. To date, more than 150 victims have benefited from the assistance provided by Are You Safe, Inc., and its community partners like Adams and Reese.

The Community Partner of the Year Award is the latest in a long list of awards Adams and Reese has earned from Are You Safe, Inc., as partner Eric J. Partlow, along with special counsels Christopher A. Roach and Stephanie M. Martin, have been recognized for their individual efforts with the organization and the firm was presented with the Law Firm of the Year Award in 2015.

Representing Adams and Reese at the Ninth Annual Purple Party included Partlow, partner Melissa Rizzo and regional office manager Tellie M. Settimi. Settimi, partner Marily Mullen Healy and of counsel Richard H. Malchon, Jr., added to the festivities by donating bottles of wine for the event’s “Cork Pull” – which raised money for Are You Safe, Inc., via auction.
