The Adams and Reese marketing department was awarded first place by the Legal Marketing Association Southeastern Chapter (LMASE) in the “Your Honor” Awards community relations category for the firm’s video submission for the Drew Brees Super Service Challenge to help Boys Hope Girls Hope of Greater New Orleans win a $10,000 grant from New Orleans Saints’ quarterback Drew Brees’ The Brees Dream Foundation and Companies With A Mission.
The award was announced October 17 at the annual LMASE Conference at the Downtown Hilton in Nashville, Tennessee, and the LMASE “Your Honor” Awards showcased the leading designs and creative strategies from firms throughout the Southeast.
There were thousands of entries from across the country, and Adams and Reese’s volunteer day and video entry for Boys Hope Girls Hope was one of the select few Louisiana entries to receive funding from the Brees’ foundation.
Adams and Reese volunteers helped with several renovations to the BHGH New Orleans home, repainting the home, landscaping, packing hurricane readiness bags, and cleaning the facility. The video of the volunteer day was joined by a nomination form consisting of an essay about and photos from the event. The event was part of the Adams and Reese employee volunteer program known as HUGS (Hope, Understanding, Giving and Support), which for 25 years has donated time and financial resources to more than 200 organizations throughout the law firm’s regional footprint. The event was an opportunity to mesh marketing and the firm’s community relations efforts and garner a significant $10,000 grant to one of the charities Adams and Reese consistently helps in Boys Hope Girls Hope.
In addition to placing first in community relations, Adams and Reese received honorable mention awards in the “Events” and also “Practice Development” categories.
For the events award, Adams and Reese partnered with the Tampa Police Department on December 4, 2013, to host, “Holiday Reception for The R.I.C.H. House,” to make children’s Christmas wishes come true as Adams and Reese presented the department with gifts to underprivileged and poverty-stricken children. The attorneys of Adams and Reese Tampa office took up a collection and purchased a projector and screen for the R.I.C.H. House. The screen and projector were presented to Officer Susan Bowers to keep at the House as a much-needed learning tool. Adams and Reese employees also purchased stockings and stocking stuffers and decorated each one by personalizing them with the children’s names.
For the practice development award, Adams and Reese was recognized for its “Attorney Coaching Initiative,” facilitated by LegalBizDev in a partnership to enhance the business development skills of attorneys and provide them with coaching so that they can identify and capture specific opportunities that exist among their current clients, prospective clients and their business contacts.
