Laurie Young was named a recipient of the Children's Bureau of New Orleans' Children's Hero Award for 2018.
The award celebrates community leaders who have shown an extraordinary commitment to improving the quality of life for area children through philanthropy, volunteer work and professional contributions in their respective fields.
Laurie was recognized at an event Friday, October 5, with other honorees: Brandan Odums; the Children of Central City Team; Denese Shervington, MD, MPH and Jeff Young.
