Adams and Reese held its fifth annual Holiday Card Stuffing and Luncheon Party for St. Andrew’s Village on November 19th, in which employees of Adams and Reese invited the young adults, family members and friends of St. Andrew’s Village to come together and help stuff more than 1,500 Holiday cards to mail out into the community to the village’s supporters, families and friends.
The Holiday Card stuffing party represents just one of the events of the long-time partnership between Adams and Reese and St. Andrew’s Village as part of the law firm’s employee volunteer program, HUGS. St. Andrew’s Village (501(c)(3)) will be a faith-based, mixed-use village community to be built on 100 acres in Abita Springs, Louisiana, where both adults with developmental disabilities and non-disabled individuals can live, work, worship, and socialize throughout their lifelong journey.
Born of a partnership between parents and community members to provide for adults with special needs, St. Andrew's Village will be the first community of its kind in the state of Louisiana.
The Adams and Reese employee volunteer program, HUGS (Hope, Understanding, Giving, and Support), has devoted financial resources and thousands of volunteer hours to more than 200 community service organizations nationwide.
