Adams and Reese Partner Giles Perkins, President Emeritus of the Railroad Park Foundation, was interviewed in a podcast with the Georgia Municipal Association to explain how he worked with the city of Birmingham to build an acclaimed downtown park through a collaboration that brought together the city and county governments, foundations and local nonprofits.
Perkins served as President of the Railroad Park Foundation during the construction of the 22 million-dollar green space, park, and amphitheater in downtown Birmingham. Railroad Park won the Urban Land Institute's Open Spaces Award as well as many other accolades. It has transformed downtown Birmingham.
Perkins, a fourth generation lawyer living in Birmingham, Alabama, and practicing law since 1992, serves as Partner in the Adams and Reese Birmingham office. He works at the intersection of government and business.
