At the Energy Drone & Robotics Summit and Expo, June 13 in The Woodlands, Texas, Grant Guillot will provide a summary of, and recent updates concerning, the federal, state, and local regulatory issues drone users face in the energy industry.

Grant will then lead a panel discussion among representatives from organizations that use drones for energy-based operations, including Entergy, FlyGuys, Harris and SeaTrepid, who will provide real-life accounts of encounters with various regulatory hurdles and recommend best practices and solutions for resolving such issues. 

Finally, Grant will conclude the presentation with a synopsis of newly emerging regulatory challenges drone users may encounter, a summary of programs and proposed rules recently set forth by the FAA with the aim of stimulating commercial drone utilization, and a broad outlook on the future of drone regulation.
