Adams and Reese New Orleans Partner and Executive Committee Member Liz Roussel has been elected to The Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (FDCC). Roussel was elected by the Admissions’ Committee of the FDCC’s Board of Directors.

The FDCC is composed of recognized leaders in the legal community who have achieved professional distinction, and the organization is dedicated to promoting knowledge, fellowship, and professionalism of its members as they pursue the course of a balanced justice system and represent those in need of a defense in civil lawsuits.

Roussel joined the firm in 2002, and focuses her practice on labor and employment litigation, commercial litigation and director and officer liability claims litigation. She has represented a wide variety of clients including financial institutions, Fortune 500 companies, public entities, nonprofit corporations, state agencies, private universities, public trusts and charter schools.

Roussel was selected among the 2011 “Women of the Year” by New Orleans CityBusiness, and she was a participant in the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute in 2014. She is the former Adams and Reese Labor and Employment practice team leader and also the former New Orleans office Partner in Charge.

In the community, Roussel is a past chair of the board of directors for the Children’s Bureau of New Orleans. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Longue Vue House and Gardens.

Roussel earned her J.D. from Tulane University Law School, in 2002, and she received her B.A. from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, in 1998.
