Adams and Reese attorney Timothy Brinks has been named a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC). IADC is an invitation-only global legal organization for attorneys who represent corporate and insurance interests. Membership nominations take into account an attorney's professional reputation and potential contributions to IADC's committees and mission.

Founded in 1920, the IADC’s members hail from six continents, 51 countries and territories and all 50 U.S. states. IADC's core purposes include enhancing the development of skills, promoting professionalism and diversity, and facilitating camaraderie among its members, their clients and the broader civil justice community.

At Adams and Reese, Brinks focuses his practice on business and commercial litigation, tort and insurance defense, and professional liability defense. He represents and advises clients at every stage of the litigation process, from initial claim investigation through discovery and trial, as well as advocating for them in appellate proceedings before state and federal circuit courts and the Louisiana Supreme Court.

Drawing on his experience and skill sets, he serves and advises clients of all sizes in commercial disputes, including claims involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties, non-compete and restrictive covenants, unfair trade practices, defamation, and shareholder derivative actions. He also defends clients in professional liability lawsuits, including claims for legal malpractice and director and officer liability.

Brinks has also represented a wide variety of companies and organizations, from international energy companies to local small businesses, in tort litigation involving personal injury and premises liability claims. He also provides recommendations and guidance to his clients on methods for reducing their liability risks and exposures.

On the regulatory side, Brinks advises and represents transportation companies, hospitality businesses, and other entities in regulatory matters, including administrative proceedings before state agencies and municipal departments.
