Adams and Reese Partner Laurie Young volunteered at and helped transform the second annual Children’s Bureau “Children’s Hero Awards” into a superhero-style setting, taking place on October 3 in Young’s New Orleans Lakefront home. The event was covered by St. Charles Avenue in the photo spread, “Tomorrow’s Trailblazers: Children’s Bureau of New Orleans Recognizes Those Who Give Hope to Troubled Youth.”
The event, in its second year, raised $40,000 and attracted 200 partygoers. The Children’s Bureau provides programs that improve the quality of life of children and families by addressing mental health issues.
