A&R Tampa Attorneys Selected to Hillsborough Women Lawyer’s Leadership Academy

Adams & Reese attorneys Mairi Cooley and Stevie Henderson are one of just 10 Tampa attorneys selected into the Class of 2026 for the Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyer’s Leadership Academy. 

Now in its fifth year, the HAWL Leadership Academy is a professional development program for leading, early-career attorneys in the Hillsborough area who want to strengthen their self-advocacy, leverage their talents in current and future roles, and explore leadership strategies and opportunities. Through a series of monthly modules, class members are given tools and networking opportunities intended to support their growth, expand their professional connections, and enhance their leadership capacity. Through its sessions, programs, and events, HAWL promotes business development, leadership, mentorship, and community service.

At Adams & Reese, Cooley is a member of the Adams & Reese Construction Practice Group. She represents developers, architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, manufacturers, roofers, public agencies, and other key industry stakeholders. She also assists clients in various areas of civil litigation, such as matters involving condo associations, homeowner associations, and other business and contract disputes. Cooley earned her J.D. from Florida A&M University College of Law and her B.A. from the University of South Florida.

Henderson is a member of the Adams & Reese Litigation Practice Group, where she focuses her practice on civil litigation involving real property, condominium associations, homeowner associations, business and contract disputes, foreclosures, and collections. She also assists clients with corporate operations, enforcement of governing documents, statutory compliance, dispute resolution through mediation and arbitration, and transactional matters. She earned her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law and her B.A. from LSU.
