Published: May 22, 2025

As a GR Advisor out of the firm’s Mobile, Alabama, and Washington, DC offices, Friedman represents clients in public policy, government affairs, and regulatory matters. Friedman has close to a decade of experience working with businesses, trade associations, and nonprofits on lobbying, advocacy, legislation needs, public relations, and other various forms of GR strategies at the local and state levels across Alabama and at the federal level in DC.
“Lee’s extensive government relations experience, including her time with the former House Speaker, brings a truly unique and valuable perspective to our team. She’s incredibly adept at developing and executing GR strategies across all levels of government, from grassroots efforts in Alabama to federal advocacy in DC,” said Britton Bonner, A&R Executive Committee Member, Partner in Mobile, and a leading member of the IBG Practice Group.
Bonner added: “Lee’s ability to connect clients with key stakeholders, craft strategic communications, and navigate complex legislative and regulatory matters will be an immense asset to our clients and our firm.”
During her tenure as deputy director of scheduling for McCarthy, Friedman worked in various capacities — organizing meetings with CEOs and international dignitaries, arranging domestic and foreign trips, and representing the former speaker on the Presidential Inauguration Committee in 2021. Friedman also worked for the Presidential Inaugural Committee and the Republican National Convention in 2016.
Friedman is a graduate of the University of Alabama (2018), earning a bachelor’s degree in management and event planning.
In the Alabama community, Friedman serves on the Local Goodness committee, raising awareness and support for USA Health Children’s and Women’s Hospital. She previously served as the treasurer for Taste of the South, a nonprofit dedicated to charity fundraising and was the director of events for the Alabama State Society, a gathering of Alabama natives residing in DC.
