Miller Speaks at New Orleans Bar Association CLE on AI’s Impact on Estate Planning

Adams & Reese Partner Courtney Miller is a speaker at the New Orleans Bar Association’s CLE on “The AI Revolution and How It’s Impacting the Estate Planning Practice”. The roundtable discussion, held Sept. 17th at the NOBA office, covers the utilization of AI in estate planning, including if and how it is being used, best practices, its impact, and cautionary tales.
The program is approved for one hour of CLE, including Estates Specialization Credit.
Miller serves as co-chair of NOBA’s Wills, Trusts, and Successions Committee. She is joined by Matthew Treuting, Partner at Roth Law Firm and fellow co-chair of the NOBA Wills, Trusts, and Successions Committee, and Graham Ryan, Partner at Jones Walker.
As a leading member of the firm’s Tax Team, Miller assists clients in estate planning, tax law issues, and various areas of corporate services. In an estate planning practice that has spanned more than two decades, Miller has helped individuals, families, and business owners plan for their future through personalized strategies. She advises clients on a broad range of matters, including the preparation of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives.
Additionally, Miller works with clients to navigate the succession process, including estate administration, and represents individuals’ interests in any adversarial successions. She also assists in wealth transfer, and charitable giving, ensuring that each plan is both tax-efficient and aligned with her clients’ long-term goals. She prepares estate and gift tax returns for filing with the IRS, and she prepares and reviews marriage and partner contracts.
As part of her corporate services work, Miller guides businesses from formation, such as choosing the right entity and structure, all the way through governance, sale, dissolution, and/or passing of the business onto the next generation.
