Overview
Danielle Douglas represents companies of all sizes in financial services litigation and general commercial litigation, with experience assisting with commercial restructuring and bankruptcy issues, lender liability issues, business torts, contract disputes, fraud, insurance disputes, and issues arising from the intersection of business and government.
Prior to joining Adams & Reese, Danielle served as Acting Intergovernmental & Public Liaison at the U.S. Department of Justice within the Office of Legislative Affairs. In this role, Danielle served as DOJ’s liaison to governors’ staff, state attorneys’ general offices, state and local elected officials, law enforcement agencies, professional organizations, and private sector entities.
While at the U.S. Department of Justice, Danielle also served as Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General for Legislative Affairs, advising on matters related to civil litigation, civil rights, immigration, health care fraud, health care policy, and violent crime initiatives. Danielle’s previous experience preparing witnesses to testify before Congress is invaluable to her litigation practice.
