In the legal world, like the real world, each day brings its own set of challenges and issues. I enjoy assisting my clients in navigating challenges and issues by effectively communicating and advocating for their best interests in hopes of achieving the best possible outcome.

James Waldron practices primarily in labor and employment, advising employers and managers through their legal needs for business operations and defending their interests in EEOC proceedings and in state and federal court.

James represents clients in various industries, navigating executives and human resources directors through often-changing rules and regulations to ensure compliance with federal and state laws. He has representative experience in areas including professional liability, job discrimination, wrongful termination, harassment and retaliation, union avoidance, overtime and wage/hour issues, family and medical leave, unfair trade practices, and HIPAA compliance, among others.

James has experience in defending directors and officers in liability and business torts. Through his D&O liability insurance practice, he defends directors and officers in claims involving breaches of contract, lack of action or mismanagement, fraud, and unfair trade practice suits. In addition, he advises directors and officers on federal and state law as well as corporate governance matters.

James’s appellate work has included drafting briefs and arguing before the Louisiana First, Fourth and Fifth Circuit Courts of Appeal.
