As a member of the Adams & Reese Global Intellectual Property practice group, John advises clients on how best to protect, manage, and monetize intellectual property rights, and works with companies across the globe on all IP legal issues, including trademark, copyright, and patent law, and legal issues around artificial intelligence that are impacting their business operations.
John earned his J.D. from LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. While in law school, he interned for Louisiana Emerging Technology Center, where he collaborated with outside patent counsel to prosecute patent applications for LSU. He also clerked for The Shaw Group in Baton Rouge, gaining experience in labor and employment law.
Before pursuing a career in law, John was an electrical engineer. He served in the United States Navy as an electronics technician. John has an M.B.A. from the Florida Institute of Technology, Nathan M. Bisk College of Business, and he received his B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Ohio State University.
