Overview
Taylor Pecci is a member of the Adams & Reese Intersection of Business and Government Practice, advising companies, developers, public sector clients, municipal and governmental entities, on government relations and economic development. Taylor provides support to the legal needs of public-private partnerships and economic growth initiatives across the state of Alabama. She has worked on many of the largest economic development projects in south Alabama in recent years.
In addition to her economic development work, Taylor regularly represents clients in education law, helping schools navigate legal, operational, and regulatory matters. Taylor also has prior litigation experience; she played a key role on litigation teams that obtained dismissals of employment law claims against county commissions and obtained summary judgment in premises liability cases.
Taylor was a former congressional intern for the United States House of Representatives Office of the Majority Whip Steve Scalise in Washington, D.C., where she obtained experience addressing constituent concerns, conducting legislation research, and organizing events for party members. Taylor was a campaign volunteer in the 2022 Katie Britt for Senate Campaign, where she orchestrated fundraising events, communicated with constituents, and assisted in marketing.
Taylor earned her J.D. from Cumberland School of Law, Samford University, in 2022, where she served as inaugural Chair of the Career Development Advisory Board, Student Bar Association Secretary, a Judge Abraham Caruthers Teaching Fellow, a member of Cumberland School of Law National Trial Team, and a member of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy. She received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Professional Responsibilities.
Taylor graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration. There, she served as Vice President of Capstone Men and Women, Chief Administrative Officer of the Student Government Association, and a member of Chi Omega. She was tapped as one of 31 women for membership for The XXXI, the only all women’s honorary at UA, for which she later served as Vice-President.
