Overview
Wade Sweat has more than thirty years of trial and appellate practice experience serving clients in both the private sector and in the public sector and is a member of the Adams & Reese Litigation Practice Group.
Wade primarily focuses on employment law and representation of sureties in all aspects of the claim process. His employment law experience includes Title VII discrimination and retaliation matters of all types, FMLA, ADA and ADEA and other employment-related litigation. Wade has experience counseling clients regarding labor and employment advice through formulation of employment practices policies, risk management techniques and loss prevention. He also has experience handling products liability, commercial litigation and insurance litigation.
Over the last decade, Wade served in the Office of General Counsel for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as labor and employment counsel and as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office in the Civil Litigation Division.
Wade is licensed to practice in Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee.
