Cybersecurity is a hot topic for lawyers, and it can pose a serious threat to one's practice. Add in the challenges of a pandemic and working from home, and lawyers have a lot to worry about with regard to ensuring the privacy and security of their data. Lucian Pera presented a Lawline webinar, "Cybersecurity Ethics for Lawyers: Very Specific Things to Do Today to Be Safer Tomorrow," on August 24 that addressed these challenges.

The hour-long presentation covered lawyers’ ethical obligations regarding the cybersecurity of client confidential information. Lucian discussed specific applications of ethics rules and obligations and how they apply to a number of common technology tools used by lawyers and law firms.
