Jack will discuss how the proposed Debt Collection Practices Rule implementing the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) may affect organizations. He will explain how to understand and use different communication technologies (emails, text messages, web portals) within the requirements of various legal frameworks designed to protect consumer privacy. Jack will also cover which record retention requirements are part of the Proposed Rule, and, more generally, what record retention practices are required by law and are good business practices.
