Adams & Reese ranks among Construction Executive’s “Top 50 Construction Law Firms™”, placing 14th in the 2026 national rankings published by the leading trade magazine. This is the fifth straight year that the firm has ranked in the top 20.

Construction Executive's annual ranking evaluates law firms across the nation based on the number of attorneys practicing construction law, the percentage of the firm's total practice dedicated to construction, construction industry revenue, and years in the construction practice. The ranking recognizes firms that have demonstrated sustained commitment and legal depth in serving the construction industry.

"We are proud to once again be recognized among the nation's top 50 construction law firms," said Chris Derden, Adams & Reese Partner and Construction Practice Group Leader. "This ranking reflects our team's commitment to understanding the complexities of the construction industry and delivering practical, client-centered legal counsel year after year.”

Adams & Reese's construction practice represents a broad range of clients in the industry, including private landowners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, product manufacturers, materials suppliers, municipalities and other political subdivisions, public utilities, buyers and sellers, lenders, architects, engineers, and trade associations. The firm's construction attorneys handle a variety of matters and legal services, including contract drafting and negotiation, project dispute resolution, construction defect claims, delay and disruption claims, mechanic's lien and bond claims, OSHA issues and regulatory compliance, and government contracts.

With 95 seasoned attorneys positioned across the firm's geographic footprint and licensed to practice across 30 states and jurisdictions, Adams & Reese delivers construction-related legal guidance for projects of every scale and degree of complexity. The firm’s Construction Team features board-certified construction lawyers, certified arbitrators and mediators, general counsel to roofing and construction trade associations, and former certified general contractors and industry professionals who bring firsthand knowledge of the construction business.

“Our attorneys are embedded in the industry and can handle a broad range of construction-related matters,” explained David Toney, Adams & Reese Partner and Construction Team Leader in Houston. “That level of knowledge allows us to provide the kind of strategic guidance that construction professionals need in today's rapidly changing environment."

In addition to the Construction Executive recognition, Adams & Reese’s Construction Practice and its attorneys have continuously achieved national rankings by U.S. News & World Report, Forbes, Finance Monthly, Chambers USA, Best Lawyers, Super Lawyers, Construction Tech Review, Construction Dive, RoofersCoffeeShop, among others. In 2026 alone, the firm’s Construction Practice was ranked nationwide by Chambers USA, and several of the firm's attorneys were also individually recognized by Chambers among the nation's top legal counsel, reflecting the depth of talent within the Construction Practice Group.

“Being recognized among the top 50 law firms and consistently ranked in the top 20 speaks to the exceptional caliber of attorneys we have at Adams & Reese," said Trent Cotney, Adams & Reese Partner and Construction Team Leader in Tampa. “Our team understands the construction industry from the ground up, and we will continue to provide quality legal counsel to our clients as they navigate challenges in this dynamic and evolving industry.”
