Patrick D. Riley

Patrick Riley brings to each client matter broad experience that spans the executive, legislative, judicial, and regulatory arenas. His portfolio includes high-stakes trial and appellate litigation with matters in state and federal courts that include contractual disputes, governmental defense, and employment litigation. As a litigator, Patrick understands that his work has real-world implications for those he represents. He finds that his highly proactive approach, advising clients clearly on the options available to them and the implications of each, enables him to tailor each strategy and tactic to the client’s specific circumstances and objectives. As former collegiate athlete, Patrick is no stranger to high-pressure situations and thrives on providing resolutions to clients when they need it most.

Prior to law school, Patrick held the prestigious Louisiana Governor’s Fellowship in the summer of 2020, supporting Governor John Bel Edwards in ensuring agency cohesion and compliance with Covid-19 protocols. This engagement included assessing and implementing directives from the White House and presenting research and policy recommendations directly to the Governor. He has helped craft policy and legislation for stakeholders and a wide range of elected officials. Patrick also served as a staffer for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Western District of Louisiana and Judicial Extern for Hon. Christopher Hester of Louisiana’s First Circuit Court of Appeals.
