Thomas Fuhrman is a member of the Adams and Reese Litigation Practice, assisting the group’s attorneys on the representation of clients across a wide range of industries.

Thomas is a former Summer Associate at Adams and Reese, shadowing attorneys through the law firm’s annual program for law students. He gained experience in all stages of the litigation process, from inception of any matter and consultation with clients, to the resolution of the case and situation tailored to assisting the legal needs of a business.

Thomas interned for the U.S. District Court of the Middle District of Florida, performing rotational clerk work for the Hon. Charlene Honeywell, Hon. Julie Sneed, and Hon. Caryl Delano, and also interning for the Hon. Thomas Barber.

Thomas also interned in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit in Hillsborough County for the Hon. Jennifer X. Gabbard and in Florida’s Second District Court of Appeal for the Hon. Susan Rothstein-Youakim. As a judicial intern, Thomas gained experience in writing and editing opinions, attending civil and criminal proceedings, participating in court-sponsored programs such as legal writing workshops, conducting legal research, and proofing orders.

As an undergraduate, Thomas volunteered as a legal intern for the Office of the State Attorney in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit. Thomas analyzed Florida case law, participated in depositions, and coordinated case files from arraignment to trial. 

Thomas earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law. He was a member of the Dean’s List, Honor Roll, he was a Notes and Comments Editor on Stetson Law Review, on Stetson’s Moot Court Board, and served as a Teaching Assistant to Dean Jason Palmer. He was the recipient of an academic excellence merit-based scholarship. Thomas received his B.A., magna cum laude, in English, from Davidson College in North Carolina.

In the Tampa community, Thomas volunteers with the Healthy Start Coalition of Hillsborough County, a nonprofit maternal and child health organization dedicated to reducing Hillsborough County’s infant mortality rate.
