Adam Griffin and Amy Hanna Keeney will present a Lorman webinar, "Complying with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) for Banks," on February 20.

The CCPA is one of the most significant developments in U.S. privacy law, and will have far-reaching impacts outside California.

As the first law of its kind in the U.S., the CCPA will enhance privacy rights and consumer protection. The very nature of the law has created a substantial amount of uncertainty, including in the details of how it will be applied to financial institutions.

In his webinar, Adam and Amy will provide context and background on how the CCPA came to be — with the added perspective of the history and potential future of consumer privacy laws in the United States. The presenters will address the scope and size of organizations to which CCPA applies, as well as exceptions for GLBA and FCRA data.
