Adams and Reese has maintained its presence among the top law firms in the nation for pro bono service, ranking once again on the 2023 Pro Bono Scorecard, published by The American Lawyer. Adams and Reese has ranked on the list since 2012.

The scorecard ranks AmLaw 200 firms by their pro bono score for work performed by U.S.-based lawyers with half the score coming from the average number of pro bono hours per lawyer and the other half representing the percentage of lawyers who performed more than 20 hours of pro bono work in the 2022 calendar year.

Caring Adams and Reese Employees (CA&RE) is the firm’s pro bono program that assists our nearly 300 attorneys and advisors to connect with bar associations, nonprofit and legal aid organizations in each of our 20 cities, to represent people who cannot afford an attorney.

“Pro bono work offers opportunities for lawyers to give back to our communities by making needed legal services available to those who would not otherwise have access,” said Laura Rose, Partner in our Jackson office and the firm’s current Pro Bono Committee Chair. “In addition, pro bono work offers opportunities for skill-building and collaboration with other lawyers.”
