Adams and Reese continued its tradition of participating in and sponsoring the Child Advocacy Center’s largest annual fundraiser, Ruth’s Chris Jazzy Lunch for the CAC, held April 19th at Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Mobile.

More than $81,000 was raised in the event to help the center. This is the 13th year for the fundraiser, and organizers say, through the years, more than $781,000 has been raised for the CAC. More than 240 guests showed up for the dress-up affair.

The Child Advocacy Center was incorporated in October 1985, though it did not acquire its original facility until 1987. It opened its doors in March 1988. The Child Advocacy Center helps child abuse victims and coordinates investigations of child sexual abuse.

Adams and Reese attorney Andy Freeman is a board member for the Child Advocacy Center, and he has been asked to chair the fundraiser in 2016.

The CAC is a member of the Adams and Reese employee volunteer program, HUGS (Hope, Understanding, Giving, and Support), which was founded in 1988 and has since devoted financial resources and thousands of volunteer hours to offer assistance to those in need. Every year throughout Adams and Reese’s regional footprint, employees donate time, money and supplies to more than 200 community organizations in need.
