All eyes were on South Carolina as communities there were devastated by catastrophic flooding in October. To assist flood victims in Columbia and the surrounding areas, Adams and Reese employees contributed directly and through its community service program, HUGS (Hope, Understanding, Giving and Support) to the “United Way of the Midlands” and to “Central SC Chapter of the American Red Cross” splitting a total of $3,284 collected.
According to Adams and Reese Human Resources Director, Linda Soileau, “We have lived through similar devastation in many of our regional offices previously…flooding in Tennessee, Hurricanes in New Orleans, Houston and along the Gulf Coast, tornadoes in Birmingham, and in October, catastrophic flooding in South Carolina.” Soileau continued, “We understand the difficulties our communities face after a disaster, and know that every contribution is important to recovery efforts.”
