Adams and Reese New Orleans Partner Chris D’Amour has been elected Board Vice-Chair of the Urban League of Greater New Orleans, an organization that focuses on empowering the community through employment and training, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship development through partnerships and programs throughout the Greater New Orleans region.

At Adams and Reese, D’Amour is a litigator and he practices primarily in the areas of casualty, insurance defense and coverage, products liability, class action defense, commercial litigation cases, construction litigation and worker’s compensation. He speaks frequently to the insurance industry on various legal topics. Within Adams and Reese, D’Amour has led a small team of minority attorneys to develop business, create diversity intra-firm and recruit other minority attorneys. He has also mentored other younger associates in litigation cases.

In the community, D’Amour served as the Board President of The Priestly Charter School for Architecture Reconstruction and on the Boys Hope/Girls Hope Board of Directors. He founded When The Bell Rings, a nonprofit organization aimed at improving New Orleans public schools.

D’Amour received Adams and Reese “Pro Bono Attorney of the Year” after his first year as an associate. He also received a “Distinguished Pro Bono” award from the City of New Orleans and was the first law student to receive the “Spirit of St. Ignatius Award” for recognition of his community involvement.
