As part of the Firm’s HUGS program, the Adams and Reese Houston office raised more than $1,500 for and participated in the 2015 NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Walk Greater Houston on Saturday, May 2. Every year, walks around the country raise awareness of mental illness and money to fund the classes and the support that they provide to individuals with mental illness and their families.

Team Adams and Reese surpassed its $1,000 fundraising goal with most of the donations coming from employee fundraising, blue jeans day and a pre-walk happy hour and raffle. Team Adams and Reese included Becky Martinez, Michelle Flores, Aidé Castillo, Dana Gambino, Craig Wilcox, Sharon Hall, Margaret Zoch, Deborah Flowers and José Martinez.

At Adams and Reese, the employee volunteer program, also known as HUGS (Hope, Understanding, Giving, and Support), was founded in 1988 and has since devoted financial resources and thousands of volunteer hours to offer assistance to those in need. Every year throughout all of Adams and Reese’s offices in its regional footprint, employees donate time and money to more than 200 community organizations in need.
