January 19, 2021

Adams and Reese is pleased to announce Joshua A. Lesser has joined the firm’s Houston office as an Associate.

Lesser’s practice focuses on bankruptcy and commercial restructuring, out-of-court workouts and transactions, and complex commercial litigation. He represents banks and commercial clients in litigation and transactional matters, as well as corporate debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, and committees at all stages of corporate debt restructurings, Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 sales and liquidations, and out-of-court workouts.

After law school, Lesser served as a law clerk for the Honorable Samuel S. Sheldon in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Additionally, he completed a competitive internship with the world’s largest refiner of petrochemical products, Valero Energy Corporation, at their corporate headquarters in 2016.

Outside his practice, Lesser gives back to his community through pro bono work and service as a volunteer at the Veterans’ Association’s free legal clinics and representing several minor asylum seekers pro bono. During law school, Lesser undertook two pro bono legal externships for the Gulf Restoration Network and the Animal Legal Defense Fund, where he worked to serve the underserved.

Lesser received his J.D., cum laude, from Tulane University Law School in 2016, and his B.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles in 2013.
