Adams and Reese Mobile attorney April Smith has been named among Mobile Bay Magazine’s 2016 Class of “40 Under Forty,” which recognizes Mobile Bay area business executives under the age of 40 who demonstrate leadership, professional excellence, and a commitment to the community. Smith was recognized at an awards dinner Dec. 6 at The Steeple in downtown Mobile. She is also profiled in the January 2017 issue of Mobile Bay Magazine.

Smith, a Mobile native, joined Adams and Reese’s Mobile office in 2005. Now a partner, she represents financial institutions, businesses and individuals in a diverse practice, including matters involving financing transactions; workouts of complex commercial transactions; banking and creditor’s rights litigation; commercial property and timberland acquisitions and sales; and mergers, acquisitions and sales of businesses.

Smith is a 2015 graduate of Leadership Mobile, a program created by Mobile United that identifies and develops leaders from all sectors of the community who are committed to community-building and civic service. She is also actively involved in the Downtown Mobile Development Alliance’s Development and Awards Committees, Mobile United, and the South Alabama Volunteer Lawyers Wills for Heroes initiative.

Smith has been recognized among Mid-South Rising Stars in Business/Corporate, Real Estate, and Business Litigation since 2012.
