The Adams and Reese New Orleans, through a bake sale, dress down day and the sale of various silent auction items, raised $2,800 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Louisiana Chapter’s New Orleans Walk, held on November 8th at the Audubon Park Shelter.

In total, the JDRF Walk has raised $242,000 and is a means to raise money for critically needed type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. JDRF holds more than 200 Walks across the country every year to raise money for JDRF — the only global organization with a strategic research plan to end T1D.

The JDRF Walk has raised more than $1 billion. Every dollar JDRF directs toward research comes from donors.

JDRF is a member of the Adams and Reese employee volunteer program, HUGS (Hope, Understanding, Giving, and Support), which for 25 years has devoted financial resources and thousands of volunteer hours to more than 200 community service organizations nationwide.
