Adams and Reese partner, W. Cliff Moore, III was awarded the Civic Star Award on December 10th by the Richland County Bar Association. The award is based upon exceptional and meritorious service to the Richland County community by a member of the Richland County Bar Association for activities outside of the legal profession.

Moore focuses his practice at Adams and Reese in the areas of real estate and finance, with special emphasis on title insurance, mortgage banking and real estate-related fraud.

Moore ranks among Best Lawyers in Banking and Finance, Commercial Litigation and Real Estate, and he was selected “Lawyer of the Year” by Best Lawyers (by BL Rankings, LLC) in Real Estate Litigation in 2013, and in Banking and Finance Litigation in 2014.

An active member of the South Carolina Bar, Moore has served on the Bar’s Nominating Committee and as a member of the House of Delegates. He is a past chair of the Bar’s Pro Bono Committee and the Access to Justice Committee – on which he served for more than 20 years.

Previously The South Carolina Bar has recognized Moore with two Pro Bono Service Awards, and the University of South Carolina recognized him in 2011 as a Compleat Lawyer.

In addition to his busy practice, Moore is a dedicated community volunteer. He leads Homeworks of America, Inc., youth groups on home repair missions to assist lower-income families and the elderly across the state of South Carolina and also northeastern Peru. A former chair of the organization, he served on the group’s board of directors from 2007-2015. He now serves as a coordinator of the organization's efforts in Peru, on John's Island, SC, and on college campuses.
