Adams and Reese Partner Elizabeth A. Roussel has been named the firm’s Labor and Employment Team Leader. Roussel, who joined the firm’s New Orleans office in 2002, also serves on the Adams and Reese Executive Committee.
A litigation partner, Roussel focuses her law practice on litigating commercial disputes, director and officer liability claims, and employment claims. She has represented a wide variety of clients including financial institutions, Fortune 500 companies, public entities, nonprofit corporations, state agencies, private universities, public trusts and charter schools.
In the community, Roussel is a past chair of the Board of Directors for the Children’s Bureau of New Orleans, a nonprofit United Way partner agency that provides mental health counseling and other services to children and families. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Longue Vue House and Gardens.
Earlier this year, Roussel was named among New Orleans CityBusiness Newspaper’s 2016 "Leadership in Law" honorees. In 2011, she was named among the newspaper’s “Women of the Year” honorees. She is a 2014 graduate of the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute (NORLI) program, a recognized Best Lawyer® in Employment Law, and a named Louisiana Super Lawyer® in Employee Litigation.
The Adams and Reese Labor and Employment Team is comprised of attorneys admitted to practice at all levels of state, federal and appellate courts.
