Adams and Reese is pleased to announce that Eric J. Partlow has been appointed Partner in Charge of the firm’s Tampa office by Managing Partner Gif Thornton, effective June 1, 2018. The firm has 17 Partners in Charge in its offices across the southern United States and Washington, D.C.

Partlow joined Adams and Reese in 2010 following the firm’s expansion into Florida and is a partner in the firm’s litigation practice group. He represents clients in both federal and state courts, handling disputes arising from a wide range of business contexts, including intellectual property, trade secrets, unfair competition, products liability, premises liability and insurance defense, banking, creditor’s rights/consumer protection, cable/telecommunications, construction, real property and non-compete covenants. He is also a member of the firm’s class action and complex litigation teams.

Partlow is a 2013 graduate of Leadership Tampa, a nine-month leadership course organized by the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce that identifies and develops future leaders in the Tampa region. He is listed in Florida Super Lawyers® in the area of Business Litigation and is AV® Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

An active member of the community and committed volunteer, Partlow has received recognition for his pro bono contributions with Tampa nonprofit organizations such as Are You Safe, for which he has provided legal representation to indigent victims of domestic violence. Additionally, he and his family volunteer with United Way, Metropolitan Ministries and various other charitable organizations.

Partlow received his J.D. from Stetson University College of Law in 2001 and was salutatorian of his class. He received his B.A. in psychology, summa cum laude, from the University of South Florida in 1999.
