Adams and Reese is pleased to announce Susan Eccles, Special Counsel in the firm’s Baton Rouge office has been named to Council for a Better Louisiana’s 2022 class of Leadership Louisiana. Through a highly-competitive process, 54 current and emerging leaders from across the state were chosen to participate in this year’s cohort.

This marks the program’s 34th year boasting a diverse group of more than 1,400 alumni who are leaders from a cross-section of sectors – civic, business, government, university, professional, cultural, and nonprofit. Together they represent a cadre of committed citizens making a difference in Louisiana.

With a primary focus on construction law, Eccles works closely with owners, contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and insurance carriers on a wide array of construction issues ranging from regulatory compliance and licensing concerns to construction defect, termination, and subrogation actions. Additionally, Eccles advises her clients on state and federal procurements, including CMAR (construction management at risk), the Louisiana Public Works Act, and the Louisiana Public Bid Law.

Eccles received her J.D. from the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2005, her B.A. from Loyola University in 2002, and is currently enrolled in Louisiana State University’s Post Baccalaureate Construction Management Program.
