Timothy W. Volpe, a Partner in the firm’s Jacksonville, Fla. office, has been elected to serve as Chair of Adams and Reese’s Executive Committee, effective January 1, 2020.
The firm’s Executive Committee is the management body of the firm that oversees the strategic operations of the firm as well as its attorneys, advisors and professional staff, and consists of six Partners, each elected by their fellow Partners to serve a three-year term. Members of the firm’s Executive Committee and management are located throughout the firm’s regional footprint.

In addition to his election as Chair of Adams and Reese’s Executive Committee, Volpe’s leadership on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce continues, and he will once again serve as the chamber’s General Counsel in 2020. The Jacksonville Chamber is a nonprofit organization with more than 3,000 members serving Northeast Florida, and among the largest such organizations in the country.
Volpe has also been elected Commodore of the Florida Yacht Club. He previously served as Rear Commodore (2018) and as Vice Commodore (2019). The Florida Yacht Club was organized in 1876 for the purpose of promoting yachting and social enjoyment and is recognized as one of Florida’s oldest private clubs.
Volpe’s practice focuses on commercial litigation, insurance litigation and insurance industry matters, including the formation, reorganization, purchase and sale of insurance companies and agencies.
Regularly recognized by legal and business publications for his excellence in law, Volpe has been named to Florida Trend magazine’s “Legal Elite” each year since 2007 and has been recognized by Florida Super Lawyers in business litigation and insurance coverage law each year since 2007. His other recognitions include American Lawyer Media 2015; Best Lawyers® – Arbitration, Banking and Finance Law, Commercial Litigation, Insurance Law, Litigation - Insurance; Best Lawyers® Lawyer of the Year - Insurance, 2016; Jacksonville Magazine Lawyer of the Year 2017; and Jacksonville Business Journal Ultimate Lawyer Award - Business Litigation 2017.
Volpe received his J.D., with honors, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1982, his M.A. in Political Science in Public Administration, with high honors, in 1982 and his B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies, certificate in Eastern European Area Studies, with high honors, from the University of Florida in 1979.
