Overview
Alex Sarsfield is a member of the Adams & Reese Construction Practice Group and Counsel in the Tampa office. Alex represents clients in all areas of construction law and complex commercial litigation.
Alex works to achieve client goals from the inception of projects to handling disputes arising during and after construction. He advises clients on appropriate contract language for residential and commercial projects, and he also assists in achieving successful outcomes for clients from pre-suit through litigation and appeal.
Alex is recognized by clients and peers among Florida Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” and Best Lawyers in America “Ones to Watch” in Construction Law and Commercial Litigation.
Representation
- Managed contractor and subcontractor disputes ranging from single-family homes to large commercial projects, such as hotels and educational universities.
- Achieved a successful outcome in a four-week, complex construction trial involving 22 contractors and tens of millions of dollars in dispute.
- Mediated dozens of complex construction cases, obtaining favorable outcomes and avoiding costly litigation.
Outside of his practice, Alex serves as a Chair of the Construction Section of the Hillsborough County Bar Association. In the community, Alex is an Executive Board Member of Bay Area Legal Services, through which he has provided pro bono legal services and raised support for thousands of individuals and families in need of legal assistance.
During law school, Alex served as President of the FSU Moot Court Team, Executive Editor of the FSU Business Review, and a Legislative Fellow in the Florida House of Representatives. Prior to law school, he taught high school social studies in Tampa, Florida.
