Event Date: Sep 9, 2026

White-Collar

Adams & Reese Partner Rhett DeHart will speak at the Southeastern White Collar Crime Institute 2026, hosted by the American Bar Association's Criminal Justice Section. Scheduled for September 9–11, 2026, in Braselton, Georgia, the regional conference brings together attorneys, prosecutors, judges, and compliance professionals to examine recent trends in white-collar criminal enforcement and defense. Attendees can expect informational sessions covering topics such as fraud, public corruption, FCPA enforcement, sanctions, compliance, and the False Claims Act, along with opportunities for networking and professional growth.

DeHart will participate in the plenary session "White Collar Practice One Year Into President Trump's 2.0 Administration," joining panelists Stephanie K. McGuire of Hilder & Associates, Paul B. Murphy of King & Spalding, Adria L. Perez of Reed Smith, and Ripley Rand of Womble Bond Dickinson, with David E. Nahmias of Jones Day moderating. The panel will examine developments in federal white-collar enforcement one year into the current administration, a timely discussion as companies and individuals navigate an increasingly complex enforcement landscape.

Based in Adams & Reese’s Charleston office and a member of the firm’s Intersection of Business & Government Practice Group, DeHart focuses his legal practice on white-collar criminal defense and government investigations. A former Acting United States Attorney for South Carolina, he brings more than 20 years of federal prosecution experience to his work representing companies and individuals in matters involving healthcare fraud, the False Claims Act, securities enforcement, and internal investigations. He is ranked in Chambers USA for Litigation: White-Collar Crime & Government Investigations in South Carolina and is recognized by Lawdragon as one of the 500 Leading Litigators in America.
